when all the white people i know have only tried learning about asian cultures to fetishize and appropriate what i have spent years trying to retain, i'm going to be wary of anybody showing interest in my culture. so yeah, we're not going to be friendly to white people trying to participate in a culture that's not theirs (culture is fluid?? try living in a country that actively tries to erase non-white cultures).
